My braces journey started in August 2019 with my first visit to SCO and Dr Ray for a fact gathering appointment to investigate my options and the cost of getting braces as an adult. Madison, one of SCO's treatment coordinators, and Dr Ray were friendly and thorough in providing information and answering all our questions. Due to some other large expenses in life at that time we had to put this on the backshelf until November 2021 when we were finally able to move forward with a re-evaluation exam. We were able to schedule my braces to go on February 12, 2022 and surgery with Dr Engroff and Tri- County Oral Facial Surgeons on February 24, 2022. Between the November and February appointments, Madison answered all my silly questions as I hadn't really had anyone close to me recently go through braces so there were a lot of them. She answered each one with patience and kindness. February 12th came along and Tina, the Clinical Coordinator, and Dr Ray put on my braces and we were off to the races. I didn't start getting adjustments until mid March as we had to wait for my surgery and some healing from that before we could get started. But once we did, I was averaging coming in every two weeks and every one of SCO's clinical assistants from Kellie to Sammie to Madi to most recently and often Jordin have been an absolute delight to deal with. They have been compassionate and caring in everything they have done. From the front door and being greeted by Dreu to passing Brittany on the way out. Each member of this team cares about each other and their patients. They make you feel like one of the "family". Dr Ray had estimated I'd be in my braces for 14 months. Knowing each situation is unique, one never knows for sure how long you will be with these new friends. For me, this journey is coming to a close two months earlier than planned. My braces are scheduled to come off February 22, 2023. SCO has been my social outlet over the past year and I will miss these gals more than words can say. My husband Dave and I are very pleased with the results of this past year and would strongly recommend anyone thinking about getting braces to go meet with Madison and Dr Ray to find out your options.
My experience with this group has been awesome! They are truly professional and treat their patients with respect and dignity, and all of my appointments have been on time which I really appreciate with my own busy schedule. I highly recommend them and have told all my family, friends and colleagues about them!
I am really loving my visits at State College Orthodontics! I got my braces on in November, after going for a consultation here and then one other local office. I didn't like the environment OR the options at the other location. They didn't even give any options other than extractions. At State College Orthodontics, I was given the option of extractions or IPR. After much research and consideration, I chose the IPR. Everything is going so wonderfully and I have been amazed at how much better my smile looks already! All of the staff are super nice and friendly and I look forward to going instead of dreading it, like some people may :) I can't wait to see the end result!
Getting braces wasn't something I looked forward to, but because of the care & kindness in the office it has been a lot easier. My mom is happy with everything at the office, too. It's a long drive to get to the office, but it is worth it.
Everything/one is so approachable and it makes everything worthwhile!
I really enjoy coming to the State College Orthordontics. It is a clean and friendly environment. Everybody is nice and very helpful. The staff listen to our concerns and needs. They are very generous to give out free water and coffee also.
Thanks!
